How to.. Wear a Mens Shirt. .

Shirt: Vera Moda, Leggings: Zara, Bag: Valentino, Shoes: Office

I teamed my loose fitting shirt with leggings and plain white shoes for a minimal easy Summer look. I like that the shirt is asymmetric and long at the back so gives good coverage and thuper duper comfy.

Bazaar Books: Sophie Kinsella Twenties Girl

Ever since I can remember, I have associated every Summer with a particular fragrance, song and book. For 2012, I have found my Summer book. That book that leaves you feeling happy and thinking about the characters long after you have finished the last page. Sophie Kinsella has a way of creating characters that every girl can relate to. Whether you're a teenager, in your 20's or a mother in your 50's, a part of you will always feel connected to her characters.

Twenties girl is an unpredictable, laugh out loud, summer read filled with all the right ingredients to make a truly fabulous read. When Lara Lington, a 23 year old Londoner, with a failing HR business and a broken heart is haunted by her great-aunt Sadie, you would expect a tale that is somewhat cheesy and hard to grip. Instead, I was met with a heart warming, sweet, quirky and comical novel with an absolutely amazing ending that will leave you buzzing for weeks.

The Ragged Priest 2012 Lookbook

It's only a matter of time before an uber cool brand like Ragged Priest rises to fashion success. The brand has been picked up on its cool factor by celebs like Rihanna and Jessie J and is stocked at Topshop. Studded slouchy jackets and vintage bleached denim echo a punk 80's vibe in the 2012 look book. The collection is beautifully softened with powdery pastel colours painted on heavy knit jumpers, an unlikely combination of colour and material that seamlessly works. The vintage Levi denim jacket is on the top of my wish list and priced at £90 means I'll have to wait for payday.

Top 3 British Fashion Entrepreneurs Under 25. . .

1) Moo Piyasombatkul of Moo Eyewear

Moo created a ripple of excitement with the launch of her iconic 'Baroque Eyes' Graduate collection. It was immediately picked up by the luxury department store Browns and has since been worn by celebs such as Lady Gaga and is stocked in the US. I love the age old story of hard work and originality paying off in the London fashion scene and Moo has demonstrated that with a bit of creative flair it can be done.

2) Poppy Dinsey of WIWT.com

Poppy Dinsey from Surrey picked up on the current 'Show and Tell' society, quit her job and started WIWT.com, a daily outfit social network, after the immense success of her blog. Since launching the website in 2010, over 26,000 outfits have been shared from various locations (even the traditional bathroom shot). Her new app allows for even quicker sharing making Poppy's online wardrobe an even bigger success. I love the personal touch to her website and it is injected with personality and fun celebrating all kinds of style.

3) Dina Tokio of Lazy doll

Dina Tokio was first seen on New Look's Style the Nation and even though she didn't win, her modest but funky style really made an impression on me. Fast forward 2 years, Dina is taking the Muslim fashion world by storm with the launch of her online brand Lazy Doll, selling scarves and accessories. The minute her facebook status is updated with 'Stock Available' it is literally sold out within minutes. Her youtube channel is watched and liked by over 40,000 fans and their is no doubt that Dina will be one to watch in 2012.

Brat & Suzie. . .

Twins Charlotte and Polly Vickery from East London are the brains behind cute and quirky clothing brand Brat & Suzie. I met the girls at their trendy office for a chat about developing a clothing line and they could not have been sweeter and more helpful. Not to mention they were brave enough to enter the Dragon's Den, a UK business TV show aimed at young entrepreneurs wanting to grow their business with expert support and investment. Even though they were turned down, the girls have done extremely well in developing their brand and have been featured in Cosmopolitan, Elle and Drapers Magazine. I predict nothing but big things for the fashion duo and absolutely love their animal illustrations on comfy tees, jumpers and vests. Who can resist having a giant panda on their t shirt? I know I can't.

Gummi Bears Arm Candy Bracelet. . .

How cute is this Gummi bear bracelet from Blanco? Was a total bargain at £3 and literally the best arm candy I have! Has inspired me to want a whole range of sweet themed bracelets, may even have a go at making some of my own. . .

Birthdays and Cakes. . .Lola's Kitchen

As it has been a month filled with birthdays, (I turned 24, ergh), I thought I'd blog about all the best cakes I've had for my birthdays. My favourite was a giant oreo cupcake from Lola's Kitchen based in the amazing Selfridges in London. It looked stunning and took me days to get through. Think Birthday cake for Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner. Yes. I'm a fatty like that.
My Cookie Monster cakes were made lovingly by hand by a close friend, if you love the look of them, here is the link to the recipe. They were frigging delicious.
