Paper Inc Launches Collection. .

I was struck down by the flu bug which was really crap this weekend. So unfortunately, I couldn't make it to the Paper Inq launch party which I was gutted about. The brand, founded by Nina Bansal and Alexa Willis from Birmingham, launched their unisex t-shirt range in style and I really love the simplicity in the styles.
Check out their online store coming soon and like them on Facebook to get all the latest updates!

Designer Shine: Bi*ching and Junk Food. .

Another cool duo started Bitching and Junk Food in 2009, an East London fashion brand that has found success through adopting the London street style look. Some of my favourites from the collection include the oversized t shirts (no surprises there), leopard print shirts, printed maxis and velvet leggings that take me back to my childhood. Some of it is very Rita Ora (big hoops and woolly hats) and the overall collection is very comfy glam.

Be careful not to over accessorise with some of the looks. You may end up looking like a  hip hop hoochy video girl from the 90's. Not a good look.

Brat & Suzie. . .

Twins Charlotte and Polly Vickery from East London are the brains behind cute and quirky clothing brand Brat & Suzie. I met the girls at their trendy office for a chat about developing a clothing line and they could not have been sweeter and more helpful. Not to mention they were brave enough to enter the Dragon's Den, a UK business TV show aimed at young entrepreneurs wanting to grow their business with expert support and investment. Even though they were turned down, the girls have done extremely well in developing their brand and have been featured in Cosmopolitan, Elle and Drapers Magazine. I predict nothing but big things for the fashion duo and absolutely love their animal illustrations on comfy tees, jumpers and vests. Who can resist having a giant panda on their t shirt? I know I can't.

Inayah Collection 2012. .

Images from Inayah.com

I always look for modesty in clothing, over sized cardigans, boyfriend jeans and blazers are a big hit with me. So I am absolutely in love with the new Inayah collection. Rich purples and pale pinks with sparkling detail make the Islamic clothing brand really stand out. The way the material falls makes it perfect for most body shapes giving elegance and modesty to all. My favourite is the pale pink ensemble which would be perfect for weddings and other special events teamed with nude heels. With a price tag of £349, I'll definitely have to save up to hit the wedding season in style.

Shop the collection at Inayah.com for some modest glamour.

Style Gems. . Marc B Bag Collection at Topshop

I was pleasantly surprised when I saw the new Marc B bag collection for Topshop at Westfield Shopping Centre London. I have always been a fan of Marc B but the new collection had such a wide range of classy lady bags. Some of my faves included the faux ostrich style bag (I wouldn't buy a real ostrich bag) and the white mini chain bag. The nude colour palettes really work well and makes it possible to wear the bags with almost anything (for work or for a casual day look). Best thing is the price range, they look a lot more expensive than they really are with starting prices of £15 going up to a max of £49.
Anyhoo, definitely invest in a Marc B for a elegant look which can be dressed up or down, available at Topshop and online from the Marc B wesbite.
My outfit = Bag -'The Belton', new Marc B collection- £49, Printed cardigan, unknown stall in Southall- £10, 'Sole Rebel' Kiser NY Menswear T shirt (for a baggy fit which I lurve)- £25, Black trousers -£10, Leopard print trainers which are super old, Office- £15.

Then and Now. . Paul's Boutique The First Collection. . 2006

PB 2012 Collection

My Paul's Boutique bags from the first collection in 2006 were just stunning. Sequins, soft fabrics and gold made them look glamorous and well worth every penny. At the time, the brand wasn't as well known and I easily had up to 50 girls ask me where I got my blue PB bag from.
The first collection launched in Selfridges as a concessions brand and I was well and truly addicted. Lunching with a friend, I bumped into Paul at a restaurant in North West London and discovered his warehouse was in my local area. He invited us to the sample sale seeing as we were both carrying his bags at the time. We came back with a box full of glittering hoodies and bags for an absolute bargain (hopefully post some photos on them soon).
Anyhoo, PB has since become one of the most popular UK fashion brands, but I am sad to say that their first collection was bursting with originality whereas their current lines are a little bit too commercial. Nonetheless, they still churn out some really cool bags and accessories so check out their new stuff online.

Bip Ling at Zayan 2012 Launch, Dubai. . .

Images from Bipling.com

Ergh, I was uber jealous of Bip Ling, fashion blogger and DJ, when I saw her photos at the Zayan launch in Sauce, Dubai. How freaking cool is this ipad case? I don't even have an ipad but I wants it. She looked fab in a Zayan bow and dress combo with Louis Vuitton heels.

I Heart Choochie Choo. .

Sometimes living in your overdraft is a good thing, because you search eBay for cheap(er) jewellery and come across some really cool brands. Just like Choochie Choo, a handmade accessories and jewellery brand made by Carly, a young designer and creative cat. Her designs have been featured in Cosmopolitan UK worn by Pixie Lott and other celebs like Ellie Goulding, Selena Gomez and Alexandra Burke to name a few. Aside from the celebrity following, the best part is that the necklaces start at £6.99 which is a frigging bargain. Check out her stuff online if you love cute and quirky jewellery pieces that can be personalised too, I heart the Barbie necklaces.

Lazy Oafette

Top, Lazy Oaf, £20

I love this black and white colour combination and found this long sleeve knee length top at
Lazy Oaf, a UK independent brand that started off  with humble beginnings as a London market stall and has grown to being one of the coolest brands, stocked by retailers such as Selfridges and ASOS. All items are hand printed and made in the Lazy Oaf studios. I found this little gem at their sample sale in East London and love the bold print and design choice. Check out Cher Lloyd wearing Lazy Oaf jewellery and her back up dancers wearing a Lazy Oaf skinny mini skirt in her new video 'With Ur Love' feat. Mike Posner.

Geek Chic: Moo Eyewear

Moo Eyewear: Unique eyewear from London based designer

Moo Eyewear is to put it quite simply, one of the most exciting fashion pieces I have seen from young London based designer Moo Piyasombatkul and has already caught the eye of celebrities such as Lady GaGa who wore these to her X factor performance in the UK. A friend of mine had the pleasure of studying alongside the very talented Moo Piyasombatkul, who is originally from Thailand. She created this intricate collection for her Graduate range at the London College of Fashion and was spotted by Browns, one of the most prominent fashion stores in London. No doubt her eyewear will be a huge success and these are the only things that will make me stop wearing my contacts! I can't wait to get my hands on a pair and will definitely embrace my inner geek. Buy these at Browns Fashion and find your inner geek too!
