Bazaar Style Gem: Diamond Necklace

I love my belated bday pressie from one of my closest friends. It is just what I need to jazz up a plain-ish outfit. I'm really into huge 80'S inspired jewellery pieces and this is a perfect addition to my growing collection.

WishList: Asos Marketplace B73 Army Jackets. .

Images from B73 on Asos

Just when you thought the army jackets were left in the 90's they make a massive come back. Every retailer on the high street has these bad boys in stock and I was keen to get my hands on one. Until I saw the price tags. I left Topshop and Pull in Bear with my tail in between my legs. I thought I'd have to fork out at least £60 for a decent over sized vintage army jacket...but then I found B73 on Asos Marketplace. An amazing range of vintage shops are on Asos marketplace with equally amazing price tags. The ones above in B73 are only £22.00! I rubbed my eyes and thought I was dreaming.  Teamed with plain black leggings and wedge high tops, I'll be ready to march left, right, left in styleeee.

Bazaar Beauty: Make Up Tutorial- Jameela Jamil

This is my first make up tutorial video and I have to admit it's a bit cringe. I thought I would see what kind of a response I get on it and take it from there but to be honest, it may be my last as I really don't like watching myself back. Anyway, enjoy! All comments are welcome. I wanted to do Jameela Jamils (T4 Presenter) makeup as it is a simple look which can be used for day and night and probably one I do all the time.
I was recovering from a cold so excuse my sniffles.

Paper Inc Launches Collection. .

I was struck down by the flu bug which was really crap this weekend. So unfortunately, I couldn't make it to the Paper Inq launch party which I was gutted about. The brand, founded by Nina Bansal and Alexa Willis from Birmingham, launched their unisex t-shirt range in style and I really love the simplicity in the styles.
Check out their online store coming soon and like them on Facebook to get all the latest updates!

Bazaar Lifestyle: Lion King the Musical. . London

Top: H&M, Vest cardigan: Topshop, Trousers: Vera Moda, Trainers: Boohoo.com

I was so excited to take my mum to see the award winning West End production of the Lion King Musical in London. It was the third time I saw it and was just as excited as the first time I saw it. We sat in the aisle seats in the Stalls section which was a treat as the animals walked down next to us. Definitely pick an aisle seat if you decide to go for Stalls. Prices range from £50-100 for tickets but it is well worth it. The show is breathtaking. It is easily my favourite West End show as so much effort goes into the staging, costumes and lighting. The theatre is right near my old Uni so I pranced around campus as if I was a Fresher again (sniff).
My outfit was a simple comfy look but I was excited to wear out my Isabel Marant wannabe trainers from Boohoo.com.

Bazaar Outfits: Lounging in Birmingham . .

Top: The End, Skirt: H&M, Bag: Valentino

I went for a day trip to Birmingham and really enjoyed the street art. As one of the biggest cities in the UK, Birmingham is good fun for a weekend away. It has loads of really cool shops and stylish people around for inspiration. Definitely worth a visit.
My outfit was perfect for a lazy day of shopping. The skirt is actually a maxi dress and I tied the knot in to give it some shape.

Bazaar Events: Paper Inc Launch Party . .

Nina Bansal, a friend and fellow ex intern from Asiana fashion magazine has co-created the brand Paper Inq and is launching her new T shirt collection this Friday night at Sobar in Birmingham. I am hoping to make the trip up from London to see the collection launch and am super excited to see it! Inspired by hip hop and the tattoo culture, I expect oversized t shirts and simplicity in the prints and colours. Check out their facebook page or follow them on Twitter to keep an eye on the range . .

Designer Shine: Bi*ching and Junk Food. .

Another cool duo started Bitching and Junk Food in 2009, an East London fashion brand that has found success through adopting the London street style look. Some of my favourites from the collection include the oversized t shirts (no surprises there), leopard print shirts, printed maxis and velvet leggings that take me back to my childhood. Some of it is very Rita Ora (big hoops and woolly hats) and the overall collection is very comfy glam.

Be careful not to over accessorise with some of the looks. You may end up looking like a  hip hop hoochy video girl from the 90's. Not a good look.

Bazaar Outfits: Lazy Oaf T-Shirt

In Pakistan, it's very common to see bootleg cartoon characters on clothing, bedsheets, stationary and accessories. As a child, my favourite was a Tom and Jerry backpack I took to school where Tom was neon orange and Jerry was lime green.

So I immediately fell in love with this oversized Lazy Oaf tee which had faux Disney inspired characters printed on. As soon as I found it online though, poof, it disappeared from their website. I was gutted. But it was meant to be because I found it in Brick Lane East London in their sample sale for £15 and immediately snapped it up. Copyright issues means that it is no longer available on their website but check them out online for alternative oversized tees. I wore mine tucked into some printed bottoms from Topshop and Primark leopard print shoes. Perfect for the holiday season. My glittery name necklace is handmade from quirky cool London jewellery designer Tatty Devine and you can order one from their website here.

Bazaar Beauty: Caviar Anyone?

Images from ButterHotShoes.com

Who would have thought that fish eggs could inspire such glamorous nails? The Ciate Caviar collection is a lush range of 3d nail varnish and currently rocked by all the Dubai Fashionistas. It is easy to see this trend setting off in London and I can't wait to get me hands on some. The range is currently available in Selfridges and is the first 3d nail paint of it's kind. Me. Love. It.

Latest Arm Swag: Lollipops and Gummi Bears . .

My latest buys for uber cool Arm Swag is these pastel bracelets from Blanco. The dice bracelet and the multi beads were from a random shop in Spain for 1 Euro. They look so yum and add colour to any casual outfit.
Note to 24 year old self: Do not wear these to work in a professional environment. You will look about 12.

Why I Will: Miss the London Olympics. .

British models strut their stuff at the closing ceremony
I didn't really watch the Olympics. There. I said it. While most Londoners counted up Team GB's Gold medals and eagerly anticipated each Olympic game, staying indoors to watch on the TV, I wondered what I would eat for iftaari or how to fill my days after a long holiday in Spain. I am a terrible Londoner. Eek. I even slightly nodded in agreement at a recent meal in Tinseltown when a girl loudly declared she 'had no interest in the Olympics' before everyone around her threw her a disgusted look (including me, I jumped on THAT bandwagon straight away). Either way here are 3 reasons I am sad the Olympics are over:

1) The roads will be busy again. London will awaken from its Olympic drenched slumber from in front of the TV and realise that actually we need to go out again to get active ourselves.

2) I no longer can look forward to the Spice Girls performing at the closing ceremony which was the one of the highlights of my Summer.

3) London is not going to be polishing its shoes and looking squeaky clean for all the visitors anymore.

Either way I am still looking forward to the Brazil Olympics.
